Shay Given and Stephen Ireland are both likely to overcome knocks in time to face Slovakia in Wednesday night's Euro 2008 qualifier at Croke Park.
Given has had stitches inserted in a knee injury sustained in the 1-0 win over Wales and will undergo a scan but is not thought to be a serious concern.
Ireland was forced to come off with a thigh injury on Saturday but says he will "play through the pain barrier".
Robbie Keane is suspended for the game with Kevin Doyle likely to replace him.
Ireland scored the winning goal against Wales and is keen to see more of the action.
"I've a great chance of playing. I'm having a scan to double-check things but it's not as severe as it was yesterday," he said.
"I'm receiving a lot of treatment, hot towels and I've been in for an ice bath. I should be okay for training tomorrow.
"I'm desperate to be involved as these are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and you don't want to miss out.
"I can play through the pain barrier. A lot of players can, so I'm willing to do that and go again."
Given hurt his knee in denying Craig Bellamy in the first half of the match.
Ireland manager Stephen Staunton said: “Shay took a bit of a whack and we’ll know more over the next 24 or 48 hours as to how he comes through it.”
